Online Shop Reopen

After nearly four months, I’ve decide to reopen the shop part of the site, with 263 additions since the last update, including Mega Drive, Master System and CD32 Games.

As the lockdown closed my local post office and had caused postage delays worldwide, it made sense to close the site and wait until it was safe to reopen. Although the situation in the UK has improved a lot since March, there is still some way to go, and with the potential for things to get worse again, but I thought I’d at least try and run the site while possible.

In the time the site has been closed, the mailing has grown in numbers quite substantially and the site has acquired new followers on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. As there will be many visitors to the site who have not seen these updates when they are posted and there are a lot of new additions, I feel I should outline a few things:

1. The shopping cart operates on a first-come, first-served basis; the first person to pay for an item gets it. Simply adding an item to your cart does not reserve it. This ensures that everyone has fair access to the items.
2. When an update is posted, the site will get very busy and an item may sell before you have chance to purchase it. I apologise in advance for the frustration this may cause – the checkout process will warn you prior to checkout if an item in your basket has already sold.

I should also mention that in the past, I would always aim to post orders out the next working day where possible, but there may be delays in despatching orders due to my increased day job work commitments and potential post office queue problems. There may also be potential delays for international shipping which is out of my control, but it may be worth choosing a tracked service just for peace of mind. As always, I’ll try my best with your orders- I would just ask if you could bear with me in the short term 🙂
